I am pleased to reveal my second painting now sold on the MS trust secret art show 2016. Congratulations to the new owner. Only the second day of sales and so many lucky people in ownership of their new art, all helping to raise a huge amount for multiple sclerosis.

‘Otis’ new forest highland cow, mixed media. donated to the MS trust secret art show 2016. 12×12 cm

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
….how great for everyone involved, and what a fine animal! This is not many painters’ everyday subject! I do not know if I have seen another depiction of this handsome creature.

So pleased you like it Lance, I am surprised you don’t get them your way, as they can cope in the colder climates? Well I assume so with the amazing fur coats they carry.

Oh Rebecca I would have been hard put to resist your fine painting of this highlander. He is stunning. We rarely get to see Highland Cattle in Canada. Congratulations on yet another sale!

Thanks Susan, it is odd to find them so far south in the uk, grazing in the new forest, when by their name suggests, they belong in the highlands? They are beautiful. I have some funny photos of one stood in our local pond ( large pond) sadly taken on my phone whilst out riding so it is not that clear, and out of focus.
