A friend of mine has the most beautiful Andalusian called Tenor, he was brought over from Spain in 2015. He is an absolute credit to her, gentle and stunning. We are planning a photo shoot, in a blue bell wood in a couple of weeks. So I met with Melissa, to introduce her to a photographer friend ( Henry Szwinto ). I took this opportunity to snap a few basic photos for myself to paint. This is on arches, I think 300lb….it’s thick !

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
Tenor is a beauty. Well done Rebecca!

Thank you Susan, he sure is, and better in the flesh, I hope to get some great pics to paint from in the bluebells.

My word he’s a beauty! I love the contrast between his smooth coat and that vibrant background. Your watercolours are fantastic!

Glad you like it Vicki, I was not sure if it was too vibrant in the background…I seem to have a pink thing going at the moment, no idea what that means in my sub conscious ?

Thank you Snehal, so pleased you like the background, I did wonder if it should have been a little calmer….hopefully I will paint him again in a different pose soon after his bluebell photo shoot.
