The date for submissions is fast approaching for our hospice art auction. Each year there is a greater proportion of canvases, compared to watercolour pieces. I am not really sure why this is, as I am sure more people paint in watercolour. Anyhow because of this, I have decided to put in a watercolour painting in addition to one of my oils on canvas. This is ‘where have you gone’ ( should be spelt wHARE have you gone). 20×20 cm.

‘Where have you gone’? 20×20 cm watercolour, for hospice art auction. Reference by kind permission from Mike Rae

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
I love this and the title–inspired! I so enjoy seeing what you are working on-am very glad to have discovered your blog-

Thank you, glad you like the title, he he. Oh and thank you for the info on the photo apps, I managed to have a good play with icolorama and stackables today, the first time I actually have had time to sit and experiment, they are great, so easy, with some great effects, and layering ability is fantastic, just need some more photos of the pets to practice on. Really pleased I bought them, and even more pleased I discovered your blog also 😀

Thank you Deb, it’s always a good feeling when you can’t give financially, to be able to contribute in other ways.

Charming stuff as ever, and I too am liking the title… it’s rather late and I can’t think of a suitable pun to suggest fetching a hefty bid at the auction, so I’ll just say best of luck, hope it raises lots! 🙂

Aww late night and brain activity, is never good, I was watching horizon about sink holes in Florida…….shocking stuff, maybe that’s wHARE the title came from subconsciously?? I will post how well they do, but the auction is not until September, the catalogue needs to be printed early, hence early deadline.

What a gorgeous hare! I saw this late last night and had a dream that a hare came to live in my garden ha ha. Lots of luck with the auction – who could resist him?
