Japenese paper, pen and watercolour hare

I had a selection of japenese paper, ( mixed in with my origami papers. Some had flecks in ( like the handmade papers you can buy) I think it is called yushi. Also some bamboo, some shiraccaba, masa, hosho and kozo.
I decided to paint watercolour on them, mainly because I had no idea of what else to use them for, ย I decided it was better than binning them. After I made a complete mess, I left them to dry. I think they took to the watercolour remarkably well, after dry I decided to paint on one, of course a hare.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if itโ€™s hairy, I will be sure to try.
