So I could not resist painting another hare today, the paints were out, and I had prepared some washes a few days ago, which were waiting to be used. This was a little different to my usual method as I used heaps of water, and I think I prefer it, although less control of paint, it is a free- er look.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
It’s like he’s getting ready to leap off the page! Love it Rebecca!

Ha ha, yes he is, with those fab strong legs……how’s you hare doing? If you have started him? ( I say him because most of mine look male)!

lol I wish I could say I had started. I did a couple rabbit and hare heads some time ago, but haven’t tried a hare with body yet. Maybe I should start with the head! They do look so cool and love their eyes!

Thank you Susan, so pleased you enjoyed looking at my work….busy looking at new art materials online, feeling like a child in a sweet shop! New inks are needed, but with so many beautiful colours it is hard to resist, even if mixing them myself is probably the best option!
