Aches and pains! Wind and rain! ‘It wasn’t me!’ Watercolour dog finished

So this sums up my weekend, the weather was horrid. I managed to ride on Saturday, which was great. Visited a charity fundraising Christmas boutique, full of amazing gifts, all put together by a talented lady, where all sales are 100 % donated to the hospice I work for. Last year she raised over £10,000, 😀

Before going back to the stables, I had a few hours, so started on a painting ( base layer/ wash) couldn’t get on with it, so started another! …….put it down to a developing headache.

banging headache now, grrrrr! Back to the yard to get the ponies in for the night.

SUNDAY- woke with aches in every muscle, like I had been to the gym! must be going down with something I guess? Decided not to ride, sort the ponies and get home quick.

I couldn’t get into the two paintings I had started yesterday,so started another, of a friends dog, this is a little more cartoon like than my usual, mainly due to the pose of him in the photo, I thought it would suit better. While he was drying, I began a fourth base painting, of a familiar hare.

So the weekend ends, aches and headache, three new unfinished paintings to complete at some point, and one finished of a cute dog called Sparky. This painting is called ‘it wasn’t me!’ After sparky got hold of my friends Jimmy choo shoe, And chewed!

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
