I

Mm what to do with this next?
thought it was a good idea to challenge myself, with a whole horse and rider, it did not go as planned, at the moment it is only watercolour, I keep it on the desk, and look at it daily while I try to decide what to use to correct it, and make it better, or to leave, and it be as it is, after all I have learnt I can sometimes go too far, especially as I am very heavy with my paint use ( most of the time) and have that problem of loosing whites!

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if itโs hairy, I will be sure to try.
for me it is a good success, and personally I would leave it alone and enjoy it. your style reminds me of an AWS painter whose demo on YouTube was helpful (for me) and done in a very conversational way….https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJTUK3E4Gr8. I was able to pick up some very useful instruction, so I pass it along in case you may wish to watch it also.

Thank you for your reply, and link to the tutorial, it is really helpful, and I am half way through it, just having a stop for a cuppa! Amazing and perfect for me when needing to get back the lights/ white. I am going to try, as I love the back ground, beats slashing and splitting which I have done a lot lately. I might try a little paint lift on this horse as a first trial. Thank you so much for finding and sharing this link.
