Play time with mixed media

imageimageimageimage Mixed media 20×20 possibly another for the oakhaven auction. I had a spare canvas, and whilst waiting for the oil paintings to dry ( before I can start on my next stage) I decided to have a play. I stamped all over with a script stamp, and sheena Douglas cracks stamp. I then stamped sheena flowers over the canvas, which I covered with mixition then when set I used silver gilding leaf. These flowers were then painted with pebeo paint including fantasy paints prism, and moon, for a great effect. I then painted a clear crackle paint over the canvas. After 24 hours ( it may have been ready before this, but I did need to go to work) I then blended in a black distress ink to fill the cracks. I gave it a good buff, and then finished with some more wax, by creative expressions.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
