Oakhaven hospice twenty 20 art auction

Many thanks to everyone who visited St Barbe museum over the last couple of weeks in support of oakhaven hospice. We have had a great number of silent bids on the wonderful paintings, which were all generously gifted by many local artist, with all raised proceeds going straight to the hospice itself.

Twenty paintings went under the hammer this evening, including my ‘Henrick’ hare in oils, I am pleased to report that he made £110 for the hospice, and has found a lovely new home. Many thanks.

Congratulations to the oakhaven fundraising team, and St Barbe for hosting the event.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.

  1. Well done. Oakhaven is our favourite charity. We have shopped in Highcliffe and donated items to New Milton on several occasions.
