One of my friends, Sharon came along with her felting box which prompted me to get mine out and have a go at a needle felted picture for the first time, I really enjoyed it, really relaxing, maybe a little more practice needed, but I think it has potential? It beats the mess I create when wet felting flowers, and the 3d animals I had a go at in the past, well I just don’t have the patience for…maybe this could be the way forward for my collection of Marino/cashmere fibres? What do you think ?

A bit of fun with felt while sat at the exhibition…my first time at a felted picture

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
