‘Hunting for gold’

I hope this painting will bring luck to some ones home, this little gold hunter…(liquid gold that is), actually was a lucky little bee, he became stuck in my home a few weeks ago, I happened to have my camera handy and grabbed the opportunity to capture a few photos, not the best, but good enough to paint from, after a little tweaking with the exposure ๐Ÿ˜€.

My busy bee was created with ink and my own handmade watercolour paints, then finished off with some gold leaf. They must bee ๐Ÿย one of the cutest of the insect world.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if itโ€™s hairy, I will be sure to try.
