I have not been painting much the last couple of weeks, as I have recently started a new job. I have been riding between the rainy days during my spare moments. Hopefully once I have settled into my new routine I will get back to painting properly, for now here is some of my horsing around, when I am not on horse back!

‘Damask’ 14×10″ 140lb coldpress polychromos and watercolour

‘frisky’ 12x14cm ink and wash, quick small painting

‘Shadows’ 12x14cm ink and wash, quick small painting

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if itโs hairy, I will be sure to try.
Beautiful.

Less time for art!!! No! I admire those of you who manage to work and do art. Your horses always are gorgeous, because you paint what you know and love!

Thank you Margaret, I have had some great rides this last couple of weeks, although the forest is very boggy and water saturated, Woody has been going well, and despite the wet, when the sun comes out we do get a taste of Spring, nothing better than being outside with nature, Spring will be here when the swallows arrive for me ๐
