I finished ‘babble’ today, and for the first time I remembered to take photos at a few stages during the painting process. The drag hunting season has started here in the UK, the sight and sound of the hunt across the countryside is so iconically british. The traditions of yesteryear continue with a laid scent, since the ban on fox hunting…..
….The foxes can breath with a sigh of relief.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate
My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
Wow! beautiful job! Two favorite things with this painting that shouts out, the eyes and the look of softness in the fur.

Thank you jodi, I always intend to take photos at stages, but then forget, getting caught in the painting zombie mode, he he…I wish I had taken more stages of this one, and started with the cough light sketch, reminder to myself for future 😀

Babble is gorgeous. Another charming one, Rebecca! The fur is so invitingly soft and real – as it always is, here! – I want to reach out and give her a good stroke. 🙂

Thank you JP, I have to confess I have not…no money, but it would have been a good idea, and if I could have I would have…..drawing all my cards individually, time expensive, but saves money that I don’t have 😀
