About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.

  4. I love portraits and you have given this lady a wonderful feel and presence, love the eyes and the choice of taking up the entire paper was perfect especially with this kind of pose. Beautiful job Rebecca!

This painting have a soul, it ‘speaks’. She says : ” so, here I am, tell me ” To me she looks like she is listening someone. Nice work, as always from you. You can paint with all techniques, your works looks like it’s easy for you to do anything that you want. Your colors and layouts are always well planned, and your handwriting is naturally feminine, sophisticated, sensitive and beautiful. That’s how I see it πŸ™‚

    • Wow Taia, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. I definitely paint differently with different mediums, I think my fav look is the crazy animals with pastel, I feel more free when using them, but they can get messy, and as I paint in my living room, I do need to prepare for a day, so as to clean up afterwards. Watercolour is great, it’s clean, no fuss, and quick compared to oil…my absolute fav. Lately I am trying to use colours which I never used to use, and I am loving it, the faces lately have been an interesting challenge, one I usually try every six months, then traditional give up quite promptly, Sktchy app has been a great tool in helping me develop this hate, into love of the human form, he he, and I guess trying to paint each day sure helps with progress, when I look back over some previous work I can see improvement, which is encouraging πŸ˜€
