Loving Joseph crawhall fine art

I found some art by Joseph crawhall and fell in love with his style, with this inspiration I decided to create my own version, my version is in watercolour.

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.

Beautiful! I can see the inspiration and how you made this your own. I love the sepia background and how textured it is.

    • I really need to thank you first, after seeing your lovely photos this morning, I had to dash out to do the horses, before I could write a message,mi have now bought the iPad apps you have used, as I was so inspired ( it could have been your cute dogs that did it) hopefully I can create some lovely photos without turning on PS? So pleased you liked his work too. I love the one of a horse and trap, but that was too much for me to attempt first go ( maybe ever)

      • I apologize for not replying sooner-yes, the apps should allow you to completely bypass PS-there is a PS app of sorts, but I have not found it terribly useful. Just experiment-there are a number of apps too which allow you more of a painterly approach which you might enjoy experimenting with too-good luck and I hope you will post sometime what you have done! AM so glad to have found your site!

      • I did buy the PS one ages ago, but also found it awkward, preferring the full blown desk top version. I have not had time to properly try the apps out yet, but will be fun to take some of the horses in the summer and play around with them…..my dog is not as photogenic as yours, so I don’t think anything I do with those will have as good an affect as yours( she makes up for looks in personality).
