Wishing it ‘bee’ summer!

Today when I woke, I wished I lived in a hot country…..It is so cold, I had a lovely ride on Woody today, and for the first time there was ice on the puddles in the new forest, he smashed on through them( it wasn’t that thick, just a light covering).

feeling a little warmer after mucking out and riding, I went home to paint, thinking of those summer days, I abandoned my four in progress paintings ( all hares), opting for the little vision that goes with sunshine and flowers, a bee! We had lots of these busy workers this year, swarming,in many parts of the country. So before they are all a distant memory, my watercolour ‘Bee summer’

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
