My handmade watercolours have been very busy over the last few months. I have been so pleased with the effects, what’s more the tiny bottle caps that I filled seem to last for ages, so I have not needed to embark on a second paint making session yet.
I had been asked if I could paint a couple of dog portraits, I am pleased to say that they are now finished, Rio the boxer is now with his mum and Jem will soon be with her mum and dad.
I had intended to do a work in progress, but forgot at the start of Rio, here are the ones I managed to photograph.

Very awesome work. I love how you’ve captured their expressions and how the fur is so realistic. Your work is the opposite of mine … my animal
Portraits are mostly painted in purples and pinks!

Thank you so much, I don’t think it matters what colour the animal is painted, I love the unusual colours that appear in animals…unfortunately when it’s a Commision most people want their beloved pets as they are, it would be great to be more free with colour 😀
