As I discussed in my previous post, I need some help in deciding images that would best suit some greetings cards for the public to hopefully buy at Hampshire open studios. please choose 4-5 images in this poll if you have time. The cards will be blank inside, so should -I hope, suit many occasions. The new forest is a rural area, and so wild animals, ponies, horses, donkey, cows and pets feature a great deal in people’s lives. I will choose the most popular selected, between this blog post, and friends and family selections. Thank you in advance, and if you do know of a painting I did not include that you wish I had, please do let me know 😀

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
I keep switching back and forth, but I’m going to say: Hareball, Betsy, Pouncy, Candy Crush, Bettie.
But seriously, they are all wonderful…you couldn’t go wrong, no matter what you choose. (K)
Oh Rebecca – how wonderful to look back at all of your beautiful paintings! I voted and picked my top 5 (though I adore them all)! Anxious to hear how the vote turns out!
I voted, and I agree–any of these would be terrific Rebecca-what I am wondering is if down the road, you decided to do selling a group of notecards, you can do an all pony/horse, an all nature critter group and a dog group–but no matter what, your work is wonderful and I think people will respond wonderfully to whatever you decide to do! 🙂
That’s a great idea, for now I can only afford to get four scanned and colour matched, before printing, once scanned I can get more printed in the future, and I may just take up that idea, if I ever get into selling 😀
I don’t like picking favourites especially if they are yours because I love them all. But willing to give it a go just this once, 🙂 !! Betsy, Cock sure, Hare ball, Otis the Otter and No name brown cow. But anyone of your horses and critters would fit the bill perfectly, of that I am sure. Cheers!
The are all fantastic! Which ever ones you decide to go with will be a great representation of New Forest and a wonderful example of your talent and love for the area.
Thank you Charlie, I really appreciate your time in looking, and your vote will be so helpful. In future I hope to get more images printed, for now five will have to do 😀
Leveret, candy crush, no name cow, ferret, sorry Charlie (not in any order). It’s not that all your horses aren’t beautiful – these just made me say, “Aww!”
Oh you are incredibly talented! I came across your blog through Laura’s. I voted for the dog cards but I loved them all especially the dogs and rabbits!
Thank you for your vote, I really appreciate everyone’s view…hopefully I will get more done soon. I think the dogs are a good choice, and I hope people with dogs will buy those …..actually you have just made me think I might just do a dog painting tonight 😀 welcome to my blog 😀
Funny you should say that, I noticed your lovely felt one, and then when I was at a friends last night she was telling me about her nieces ‘ new doggy family member a miniature schnauzer….no painting in the end last night, but maybe today 😀
