‘Holy cow’ it’s not a horse or a hare, today’s post was in limited time, I only had half an hour, super quick. This was because I was doing a little more on my giant oil painting of BIG Bettie….another horse, but bigger than life size, as it’s just head and neck on 1mX1m, it’s a big beast.
I can’t believe we are on day 29, yippee, so far so good, I have really enjoyed this challenge.

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow.
I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel,inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use.
I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.

Half an hour? Holy cow indeed – quite absurd! Awesome, once again; less sizing up from her than her friend a couple of weeks back! Adorable. What a collection this month.

Thank you Snehal, so much lighter, with less layers, I used the heat tool to dry between layers, helps to speed things up sometimes.

Half hour. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa? Oh, Rebecca. You give me hope. Honestly, your animals in every medium are truly stunning! Brilliant! You need to do a whole bunch of these quickies in WC, you get the very best with these, my friend!

Oh wow, what breed? They are so cute, I am not sure of this ones breed, I think maybe a Charolais, or a cross, the herd is of about 10 and they hang about with a few highland cattle. I actually bumped into them this morning while out riding, they were all laying on the canter path, calves and all, they were not going to budge, lol, I hope that will not mean we are expecting rain?

Our main dairy cows are Jersey, Holstein, and Guernsey. We live in farm and lake country here in Wisconsin so we see lots of the, I am a ‘cheesehead’. 😄

I just looked them up Munster and cojack?? I think the curd cheese is like our cottage cheese, and the stringy cheese, is that the one you melt and it goes really really stringy, as opposed to the kids cheese strings, which is a delightful mild cheese snack? With a funny man cheese for an advert??

Lol. No curd cheese is not like cottage cheese. They are the solid parts left over when making cheese. They are so yummy. You can hear them squeak when you chew them. To die for.
String cheese actually look like small ropes of cheese that you can pull apart to eat. They also come skinnier and are called spaghetti cheese. Yummy to snack on.
I warned you I was a cheesehead. Lol
