Really ….it is Spring! It is pretty hard to tell when you glance out the window. A day off work today, and there was no way I was going for a ride. Gale force warnings, and the forecast was right, rain, rain, rain, and mix in some angry wind, what a day….poor ponies ( at least they are tucked up in their stables for the night).
After my play with the japenese papers, it was only right that I continued with the watercolours, so I sat in all day and painted, listening to the wind, and waiting for my SAA order of two new oil brushes to arrive ( and they did, happy me).
Hoping for calm weather when I wake tomorrow, not that it matters too much, as I will be at work, but I think the ponies are fed up of MUD….it starts to dry up, and then we get downpours.its been a very muddy four months.

Thank Laura….the brushes are lush, it was a mop brush, so I can lightly swish over, blending colours to a seamless effect ( that’s the plan) a little like I did with the Arab oil painting, only I improvised with an old watercolour mop brush, which worked ok, but when you have a money off voucher it’s nice to get the right tools.

Thank you Charlie, I’m not sure what the now green sky is about, but you know how it goes, was just a wash, then I decided on some grass…..then more grass….oh and some more for good measure, then I mix a gorgeous green….lets have some more grass…it gets taller and taller, lol, end result a green sky, hey ho, it’s only for fun, the most important part of painting is enjoying it I believe.

I love it! That’s painting for ya! But I think this works great because we’re on the hare’s eye level. I didn’t expect to see sky…just endless grass like this! Perfect! 😉👍🏻
