Ferret watercolour

I used to have another Woody in my life, other than the New forest pony Woody…this one was a little different. We found him whilst driving to the horses. Someone had stopped in the middle of the road, an elderly couple were glancing under their car. I asked if they had knocked something over. ” There is a squirel under here” they said, I took a look as they were not able to bend down well, and out popped ‘Woody’- as we named him. I grabbed him, took him home, gave him some food,( he was very thin) bought a nice large home for him….we had him for about 6 wonderful years. He was adorable, he used to love coming in the house to play with the cats….. They thought otherwise, I don’t think they enjoyed the ferret smell ( despite him smelling better than most as I had him castrated).

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
