‘Gemini’hare using liquid pencil

This weekend has given me a chance to experiment with my new pot of liquid pencil, I bought the sepia, re-wetable. I really enjoyed using this paint, you can thin it with after before application, and when dry, it will still blend. Once dry you can use an eraser to remove areas, although I was not especially successful with this, maybe I was expecting too much, I really wanted to erase the fine hairs with my battery eraser, it didn’t work well, so I went over the hare using acrylic. The first picture shows the first application of liquid pencil before I applied the acrylic hair. Over all I like the stuff, and will experiment more soon. I have called this hare ‘gemini’ as I have painted from this hare photo before 😀

About REcreate-RebeccaEvansCreate

My name is Rebecca Evans, living in the New Forest I have been inspired to paint the many animals often seen around me. Having ridden since Childhood, painting equines was a natural path to follow. I use a variety of media, watercolour, oil, charcoal, pastel, inks, plus a few more, infact I will try most things. Choosing the medium to work with can really change the effect of the art, and therefore the character of the animal. Sometimes it is an instant decision, sometimes it is the mood from within me which determines which medium I choose to use. I never know what might inspire me next, but if it’s hairy, I will be sure to try.
